I’m taking on the 99,000 Steps Challenge to support Together for Short Lives.
From 15 - 21 June in Children's Hospice Week, I'll be completing 99,000 steps - a step for every child in the UK with a life-limiting condition.
In the UK, there are 52 children's hospices dedicated to caring for seriously ill children and their families. Children’s hospices bring precious moments of happiness to families with of children living with serious illness. But they’re under real funding pressure, without more support, they can’t provide all the care families rely on.
That's why I'm taking on this challenge to raise vital funds for Together for Short Lives and children's hospices, so they can continue to provide services and support for seriously ill children and families facing the unimaginable.

Wednesday 10th JunWalking 99,000 Steps for Together for Short Lives
Over the next week, I will be taking on a personal challenge: walking 99,000 steps in just seven days to raise money for Together for Short Lives, a charity that supports seriously ill children and their families across the UK. This charity means so much to me as a child that experiences long term illnesses and a blood condition and this would have benefitted me when I was younger so i am glad to help others like myself get the help and support they need!
Every day, families face the unimaginable reality of caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Together for Short Lives works tirelessly to ensure these children and their loved ones receive the support, care, and compassion they need during some of the most difficult times of their lives.
To help support their incredible work, I have committed to walking 99,000 steps in one week. While it may sound simple, it will require dedication, determination, and plenty of miles on my feet. Every step I take represents my support for children and families who face challenges far greater than any walking challenge.
I would be incredibly grateful for any donation, big or small. Every contribution will go towards helping Together for Short Lives continue providing vital support, specialist care, and precious moments for families when they need it most.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and colleagues would mean just as much.
Thank you for your support and encouragement throughout this challenge. Together, we can make a real difference—one step at a time.
